OEP is January 1st through March 31st every year. This is the enrollment period that applies to Medicare Clients who have an active Medicare Advantage or Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan (MA/MAPD) as of January 1st. OEP is only for those who have an existing MA/MAPD Plan. Here’s what OEP allows you to do:

1. Switch to a different MA/MAPD Plan (Only 1 change allowed)
2. Drop your MA/MAPD Plan and return to Original Medicare (A and B)
3. Sign up for a PDP (if you’re returning to Original Medicare only)
